Graphics card manufacturers often cooperate with studies responsible for preparing games. However, the results of this cooperation are not always as expected. This was shown by recently completed alpha Battlefield 5 tests. It turned out that AMD graphics cards perform much better than “green” systems, despite the fact that it was Nvidia that worked with EA to optimize the game.
Each new Battlefield is a game virtually doomed to success. Of course players are more or less satisfied with individual titles, but they always sell well. That’s why the graphics card manufacturers want the important productions, such as Battlefield V, to work well on their equipment and be optimized accordingly. Therefore, nobody should be surprised that the teams responsible for optimizing graphics card drivers often work with developers of a given studio. This is how the Battlefield V arises, where the Nvidia team was also involved in the development of the game. However, alpha tests show that Nvidia still has a lot of work to do, which he must devote to the optimization of Battlefield V.
Currently the best card for Battlefield V is AMD Radeon RX 580
PCGamesN took part in closed Batllefield V tests and by the way checked how the individual graphics are doing with the new title. Tests were carried out on the Ultra settings using a computer equipped with AMD Ryzen 7 2700X CPU, Asus RoG STRIX X470-I Gaming motherboard, Corsair H100i v2 water cooling, 16 GB G.Skill Sniper X DDR4 RAM, Corsair HX1200i power supply and Philips BDM3275 monitor. Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB and AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB cards were compared.
The above list leaves no illusions. The AMD card works much better than the “green” system. “Red” in each of the tests managed to get 50% more fps. Also, worrying is the performance degradation of the Nvidia card when switching from DirectX 11 to DirectX 12. However, we must remember that the game Battlefield V is only after the first alpha tests. It is quite possible that Nvidia will manage to solve performance problems until the release.
